Bonnie is a self-taught artist who acquired basic drawing skills from her father, Royden Drum while still a child.  She took up painting full-time after leaving a career in education.  Since then Bonnie has studied with Barbara Brock, a pastel artist in Taos, NM; Christine Cancelli, an equine artist residing in NJ.; Nancy Ryan, with whom she studied figure drawing; Diana DeSantis renowned portrait and landscape artist and Evelyn Embry, portrait artist.  She consistently strives to improve her technique through workshops, study and practice.  Her appeal lies in the intimate interpretation of her subjects. She has exhibited extensively in New York State and fulfilled numerous commissions. She is registered in the AKC Museum of the Dog and is represented by Artworx Fine Art Gallery in Saratoga Springs.

Bonnie shares her life with her supportive husband, David, two Corgis, 3 horses and a cat.  Her love for animals is her inspiration.
